Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what information the Nuets application (the "Application" or "Nuets"), created by Malthe Hartmann (the "Developer", "we", or "us"), collects about you, how we use it, and your rights.

By accessing and using Nuets, you ("User") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy.

What we collect

Account

• Email address — provided via Sign in with Apple or magic email sign-in link. If you use Apple's "Hide my Email", we receive an Apple relay address.
• First and last name — only when you share them via Sign in with Apple or enter them yourself.

Watchlist and viewing data

• Movies and TV shows you save to your watchlists, with their watch status and any personal ratings or notes you add.
• Watchlists you share with others and the invite links you create, so we can grant the right access to invited people.

Subscription (Nuets Pro)

• When you purchase Nuets Pro, Apple sends us a transaction identifier that we link to your account so we can tell whether your subscription is active. We do not receive your card number or other payment details.
• Apple's App Store Server Notifications send us renewal, cancellation, and refund updates so your Pro status stays current.

Third-party integrations

• If you connect Trakt, we store the access token needed to sync your watchlist and watched history with your Trakt account. You can disconnect at any time in the app.

How we use the data

• Provide the core Nuets experience.
• Personalize recommendations and "For You" content.
• Enforce the free-tier watchlist cap and grant Pro features to paying users.
• Reply to messages you send to our contact email.

We do not sell your information to third parties.

Third parties

• Apple — handles Sign in with Apple, payments, and subscription notifications. Apple's privacy policy applies to App Store transactions.
• Supabase — our hosted database, where your account, profile, and watchlists are stored. Data is hosted in the EU.
• TMDB — provides movie and TV metadata. We send anonymous requests for titles you look up; TMDB does not receive any account information.
• Trakt — only if you opt in to connect your Trakt account.

Storage and retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings; on deletion we remove your profile, watchlists, shared watchlist memberships, and your Pro status flag from our database.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information. You can exercise these rights directly in the app (Profile → Edit or Delete account) or by emailing contact@nuets.app.

Children's privacy

Nuets is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
