He studied at the Foro de Rivera and La Casa del Teatro. In 1996, he obtained a degree in theater. He has a son, Nicolás Valdés Paleta, with actress Ludwika Paleta, to whom he was married for ten years. His current partner is Ximena del Toro, with whom he has another child.
