June 14, 1953, died in an air crash, buried in Tbilisi) — Georgian film actress of the Soviet period, a megastar of the Soviet screen in the 1920s-30s. People's Artist of the Georgian SSR (1941). At the peak of her career, Soviet cinema brought her Hollywood-style brilliance and glory. Her legend, created by Soviet filmmakers, created sold-out theaters. Thanks to her appearance and artistry, she deservedly became a legend of Georgian cinema. Her popularity made the Georgian film studio "Sakhkinmretsvi" the largest in the Soviet Union.
