From then on, Alyosha waited for autumn to come and prepared seriously for the hunt. But Uncle Vitya forgot his promise. When hunting season arrived and Alyosha realized he had been deceived, he shared his disappointment with his parents—and his father did everything he could to make the hunt happen.
